duplicate record, sub record and sub sub record

I have been struggling with this for a while. I am working on a rather simple database for calculation purposes in Access 2003.

I have a table called Order that has a primary key field called OrderID. It is linked to a (sub)table called Parts (primary key: PartID: autonumber) and this one is linked to a (sub sub) table called SubParts (primary key: SubPartID: autonumber). The idea is that a Order can be filed for multiple parts and each part can be filled for multiple sub parts.

My problem lies with the form that I have created. It is a main form called Client with a sub form Order, a sub form Parts and a sub form SubParts. I have a button on the main form Client that allows me to duplicate the selected record of an order and the records of the linked sub table Parts and sub sub table SubParts. Till now I only find some code for duplicating record and sub records. I also want the sub sub records.

I have tried several things to get it work but so far I failed.

I hope this makes sense. I tried to find this issue in the forum but couldn't. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would try adding subform2 (the sub-sub form) as a subform on subform1. That way you can set up the correct parent/Child relationships.

Then add subform1 as a subform to the main form.
This is a bit of a guess but I think it should work.
