As these posters do not seem to want to abide by the rules, and their ISP
and news server do not seem to have an interest in disciplining them, I
intend to respond to their e-mail, informing them of my unhappiness with
their breaking the rules. If enough people do that, they might get the
message, but I wouldn't encourage anyone to do so.

Larry,

Arno R, John Marshall, Keith Wilby and some others are violating the rules
by tracking each and every post I make in the newsgroups with their
slanderous attacks on me and you keep silent on their conduct. You know that
what they are doing is against the rules of condict for the newsgroups and
in violation of the terms and conditions of use of the newsgroups and you
keep silent although as you claim you are one of the founding charter
members of CDMA. Of course you are an MVP and John Marchall flaunts that he
is an MVP. Brothers of the hood stick together I guess. You are a hypocrite;
perhaps that is why ISPs and news servers turn a deaf ear to you.

The thing that is absolutely amazing, is that he really believes he is
right and everyone else is wrong.

Stevie can you quote chapter and verse of the rules I have broken?

We have quoted you on what you are doing wrong, but you do not appear to
have the intellectual capacity to understand. "Soliciting is a No-no."

and while you are explaining, can you explain why your sigline has said "A
Resource For Help With Access, Excel" fpr the past five years, but only
recently have you started asking extremely basic questions in the Excel
newsgroups? Are you planning on spreading your childish behaviour there?

Larry: I owe you a set of the new monopoly cards.

John... Visio MVP

PS: I'm still waiting for your apology on your libelous remarks towards me.

*You* are the one who is violating the rules, you know that very well.
But this tracking of your posts can go on forever if you like...
Stop advertising here !!
Of course you are an MVP and John Marchall flaunts that he
is an MVP. Brothers of the hood stick together I guess. You are a hypocrite;
You still have not taken your pills Steve !! There ARE pills against MVP-hatred ...
perhaps that is why ISPs and news servers turn a deaf ear to you.
Well... you have been kicked out by Earthlink isn't that so ???
We are doing our best to inform SuperNews !!
We are judging that your situation/reputation is simply *not* improving here in the groups...
==Every week lots of pagehits and new first-time visitors at http://home.tiscali.nl/arracom/whoissteve.html
==No support for you, no new customers from the groups, no answers here ...

Why would hat be Steve ???

Are there any *other* options left ???
Well.... you *could* consider to stop advertising here...
In that case we *might* even consider to close the website...

FYI In case you are interested:
Lots of pagehits coming from the excel group last week...

Since you have decided not to respond, let me point a few more things wrong
with your rant.

1) As to the rules we call you to task on, the ones for the Microsoft forums
are listed here: http://www.microsoft.com:80/info/cpyright.mspx. This is
CDMA and these rules do not apply, but most of my responses were made in the
Microsoft newsgroups, so those are the rules I follow. My favourite is under
Use of Services: " Restrict or inhibit any other user from using or
enjoying the Communication Services." Any time you post one of your
solicitations, someone has to respond and that kills the enjoyment for the
rest.
2) "each and every post". You know full well that I only comment on your
soliciting and when you are totally off base with your answer and mainly in
the Access newsgroups. So for me, you know that statement is a lie.
3) This is the CDMA newsgroups. I have tried to avoid commenting on your
behaviour here, so why have you chosen this non-Microsoft newsgroup to
complain in?
4) What are the "rules of condict"?
5) It appears you never passed grade nine civics. There is no way anyone
can post slanderous attacks in the newsgroup without posting an audio file.
Slander refers to the spoken word, while libel refers to the written word.
To be considered libel or slander, the author must know that the information
is wrong. I have no idea of your education level and can only judge by what
you post. From your behaviour and posts, you do not appear to have more than
a grade nine education, so it would not be libelous or slanderous if I
conjectured that you have yet to pass grade nine.

For the Access regulars who have put up with steve's claim of being an Excel
resource for many years, it is interesting to note that recently, steve has
been asking some very basic VBA questions in the Excel newsgroups. For
example, he asked about how to modify a formula. Formulas in any of the
Office products have always been strings and modifcation is always a simple
string manipulation. In this case concatenation.

Hey "Steve", you're an Excel dummy and an Access dabbler at best. Go
and buy a book and learn how to use Excel instead of asking dumbass
questions. No one's gonna pay you to do anything because you're effin
useless and everyone here knows that, including your "customers".

As a matter of fact, I don't think I have, in recent times, complained to
your ISP and news server. As we are now dealing in "perhapses," perhaps it
is time that I did.
Please Larry: do complain to Supernews !!

Perhaps it is a good time for more people to do so.

I count seven posts in the tree under your reponse to Larry. Many are
critical of you. I doubt that's what you want.

In my opinion, you have changed your signature line for the better.

I think you have also improved your style. Perhaps we could all do so
if we were to deal with advertising in the newsgroup quietly, and to
try to minimize personal villification in our posts.

Some who read this may point out that I have not always been calm and
measured in my responses to you. They would be right. But I'm pretty
sure it's OK for me to try to be better. And I can hope that it's OK
for all of us to try to be better.
