Basic Database Form Troubles

P: 1
Alright first off I am new here so bare with me. I have searched through the posts here for a few days and haven't been able to find an answer to my problem thus far.

Here is what I need:
I have a form with 2 tabs on it, a sign in and a sign out tab. The signout tab has a drop down box that lets you pick an item to check out from an item table. My problem is that even if an item is already checked out it shows on the drop down menu. How can I get the drop down menu to not show items that are already checked out?

One approach is to place an field called Available or something like it in your table. Set the field type to Yes/No. Then when an item is checked out, you will update this field to No (unchecked). Your combo box RowSource will look like this: SELECT ItemID, Item FROM tblItem WHERE Available = Yes
