most efficen way to set up a log in screen

18
i want to set up a log in screen...where people could log in into the database. to do this...i should have a switchboard where i have username and password and log in and exit button

------------------------------------------------------

USERNAME: [------------------------] <---text box
PASSWORD: [*******************] <----text box

[ EXIT] [LOGIN]

-----------------------------------------------------

so then i should have a table where there is list of username and password....so my question would be..how do i get it to check the inputs with the table and then...depending on the username and password entered what privilates they get what they see and what they dont see.

list of account should be
ADMIN (full access to everything, from chaning forms all the way to enabling options)
and then staff (just to adding simple records here and there but each should hae no access to other access filing)

so then there must be multi (if thats the case) switchboards. and i would to have somewhere record who has loged in and when..

i am using MS ACCESS 2007

and if this requeris VB then just let me know....i done vb before but way to long ago..so i might need very clear instruction on how to do this.....

thank you alll for reading this.
