"ID" Field in a table

What "ID" Field in a table what type of data should be in a "ID"Field? How can I set relation between Tables in an ACCESS kindly explain.

An ID field in a table can be any type of data. For example it could be a customers credit card number, order number, task ID, etc. Once you have established what your id is i will use the credit card number for an example.

This is how you would link tables based on a ID of a customers credit card number.

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. Table: Customer                                          Table : Order
  2. CreditCard_ID<-------------------------------------------->CreditCard_ID
  3. First_Name                                                  Product ID
  4. Last_Name                                                  Product_Name
  5. Address                                                       Quanity
  6. Phone_Number
From there you can link a products table and have the ID be Product_ID and that would be your link between the Order table and teh Product table.
