filtering Reports

553 512MB
If i set control source of a Access Report to a table i have created, i will see all the rows from within the table.

How can i i filter data on the report - if i want to see a specific record ?

Thanks

Do you know what fields you want in the report already, like a select few? Or is it one of thoose things where the report can change?

This question is very broad. You'll need to go into more detail. There are several ways to filter a report. You can use the Filter/ FilterOn property of a report, open a report from a form that takes values from the form to filter the report, or have a popup form accompany the report when it opens that will filter it.

The basic idea for all of them is the same. Whether you use the filter property or not the idea is to build where criteria for the table/query behind the report.
