correlation and regression analysis

My questions are can you use access to query correlation and regression analysis or should i link an excel spreadsheet to the database that has those functions specific to the analysis. if you can do it within access can anyone help me with the method of query to have these analysis show when the query is run

You can set a reference to the Excel object Library from MS Access.
