multiple possibilities for one field

I am creating a database in Access 2000. I have a form with class schedules and a subform with the roster. Instead of entering student id numbers in the roster, is it possible to enter the last name and if there is more than one of that last name have a window come up with all the possibles?

ex. there are three Browns in the related table. Type in Brown in the roster subform and a window comes up with the three possible Browns and you choose which one you want.

Yes, the basic idea would be:

1) At the event of your choosing, it does a DCount to see if there's more than 1 record with that last name.

2) If yes then it will open a form with a listbox.

3) On another event of your choosing, the chosen record from the listbox will fill in the fields on your first form and then close.
