Access Novice Needs Help

Here I go..

I haven't worked with Access for almost a decade and due to recent abrupt job change need to write a simple data base. I am creating a data base to reference a larger one. It needs to be simple and easy.

I have built a table with the following Field Names: Screen names, Query Number, and Query Field Name. I need to create a Form that allows the user to have a Combo Box to choose the Screen name that then displays the corresponding Query Number and Query Field Name in either a sub-form or list box.

The goal is to be able to quickly reference Query Numbers in each Screen Name section. I hope that this isn't a waste of anyone's time but I could really use the help.

Thanks in advance.

Are you talking about one Query Number and one Query Field Name per Screen Name or multiple Query Numbers and Query Field Names per Screen Name?

And while you're at this early stage of your project, if the field names you've posted are the actual fields names, spaces included, do yourself a BIG favor and lose the spaces! This goes for all object names in Access. This will save you huge headaches down the road!

Thank you for the suggestion. I had forgot about the spacing and have made that change.

I wanted to have the highlighted ScreenName in the Combo Box display all of the corresponding QueryNumbers and QueryFieldNames. There may be as many as 50 to 60 QueryNumbers and QueryFieldNames for each ScreenName.

Thank you.
