Locking Down Printing

P: 2
Hi folks -

My organization runs a SQL Based Acounting Package using Access 2003 Runtime as a front end. My CEO wants to lock down pringing on certain forms as he is worried about an overzealous individual coming in and working for a week, printing out the client list and then leaving. Personally I would just go right for the petty cash bank bags but who am I to question?

Is there a way to lock down (possibly with a macro) particular screens / forms?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I don't know if you can turn off printing but all controls have a property called display when and you can set that to screen only. That way if they try to print it won't print those controls.

Maybe someone knows of a way to turn off printing and can help you there.

But the thing is.. anyone who knows a little bit about computers knows they can just take a screenshot.. or a picture of the screen with their phone camera even lol.

Thanks for your response. I will look into your suggestion.

If the party in question wants to spend six hours going screen by screen and doing that more power to them. That would be an extremely motivated person. And a lot of cell phone pictures.

I don't know how well that works in a form.

Works just fine! It not only copies the data, it copies the headers as well, so it's like looking at a screen grab!
