Access Query into Word per mailmerge

Hi

I have a very strange Problem. I have tried to import data from an access query into word per mailmerge. This usually works well, however with this new database i can only choose from a list of tables (no queries) to insert into Word. How can this be?

Any help would be appreciated!

You have inadvertently posted your question in the Articles section rather than the Forum section. I have moved it across for you.

Do you have any (non-hidden) SELECT queries in this database to choose from?

No that's the thing. Absolutely no queries are shown at all! All my Queries in my database are select queries!

I'm sorry.
I'm afraid that I can't help you in that case. It might be easier with the database in front of me but at a distance I can't see what's "missing". If you knew to tell me, you wouldn't be asking in the first place. Sorry.

Hmm, in general this type of odd problems occur when the Office installation gets corrupted.
I would start with a repair of Office (Start/Settings/Controlpanel option "Add/Remove Software") or when that's not solving it a complete re-install of Office.

I have the same problem but in my case some of my queries are available but not all.

It's got something to do with OLE/DB vs ODBC but I don't know how to fix this. When a new query is written, how do I know if it is ODBC or OLE/DB.

Dear preguin,

Please start a new discussion to get this problem solved. We like to keep postings separate, as that will make the reading by others in the future easier.

Thanks in advance !
