Search/Filter Form

i have to make a form which looks like this

In tables i have Gategories table (GategoryID, GategoryName) and Products table (ProductID, ProductName, UnitsInStock, Price) and in this form gategories should appear in first combo box. When i click on a gategory then in the list box next to it should appear all product which match and so units in stock and price

i have read many forums and i understood that i have to make a string which contains filtering data, i can do that but how to filter
i don't know much about VBA so if anyone could write good explanation i'd be glad

For starters I think you should take a look at this tutorial:Cascading Combo/List boxes

It should get you started on linking your gategory combo box with your list box. So take a read through there and if you have any questions we'll help you out. Once you get the cascade down we can work on populating the textboxes based on the list box selection.
