Subforms are invisible...why?

I have some subforms that will not display until there is a record in
the table (which I went in manually and put in an ID) now the forms
are visible for that record.
I don't have any code to turn on or off the subforms but they are just
blank...nothing until there is a record entered then they display
fine.
NOT a good thing for data collection. LOL

The subforms are made using a form and set it based on the visit date.
so the forms can be one of 4 but not even the tab control these
subforms are visible.

weird...any ideas are greatly appreciated

A form with no records and no ability to add new ones appears completely blank
in the detail section. Sounds like your subform is read only or is bound to a
query that is read only.

Access feature!

(that means it's a known issue but no one ever fixes it - they may
even go to lengths to rationalize the behaviour)
