subform properties

I have set the tab for one subform (Document Status) to visible = false, I want to change it to true after I update another subform. I have tried variations on the code below but the tab field isn't available.

Private Sub Form_AfterUpdate()

Me!Document_Status.Visible = True

End Sub

If this is in your subform then you need to use Me.Parent.Document_Status.Visible
