can't set relationship

This might seem a bit of a strange question but its something that has got me stumped. I have a database with field names that are too long to fit in the "edit relationships" window in Access.

Does anyone know how to resize the window or change the text size in this part of the programme? I don't see why Access has never had the same ability as the rest of MS Windows has(i.e. changing the size of the window by dragging the bottom right hand corner).

And before you ask i need to have the field names a they are as it will cause problems later on when coding.

What version of Access are you using? I'm using 2003 and I can resize the windows just fine.

Tools > Relationships
That's where you're at right?

I think he means the window that pops up when you right click on a relationship and select "Edit Relationship" that is not resizable.

I just played around with this for a bit. Can't think of a way to alter the window but you can side scroll through field names that are exceedingly large using the cursor keys. Not the easiest for readability but it might be your only option.

do you mean the edit join properties window? Even if you resized the window you can't resize the combo boxes that list the fields.

I'm using Access 2007. And no it's not the relationship window i'm on about, its the edit join properties window.

I can't see how to make the combo boxes that list the fields bigger. But surly resizing the edit join properties window would make the boxes longer; which will show more of the field name.

Jking:
thanks for the suggestion, using the arrow keys does work, but it will be a long process as i have so many fields.

I thought so. And no, resizing a window never resizes the objects within a window unless programmed to do so which is rare. I can't recall a program that resizes its contents when the window size changes if you don't include games.

The first thing that pops in my mind is IM programs such as MSN Messenger. The textareas resize with the windows. Though that is about all I can think of.
