Can I hide database button in bottom tray when app is opened?

I am not sure what they are technically called... when you open an Access application, 2 buttons appear in the bottom tray. One is for the active application and the other is 'databasename: Database' and when you click on it, it go to the tables. My users are requesting that I remove the 2nd button from the tray that accesses the tables. They seem to be getting confused having 2 buttons. Is there any way to set it up so only the active application button is in the tray when the application is opened?

Yes, you can hide the database window by going to Tools > Startup and then unchecking Display Database Window. Then on startup all they should see is your starting form.

Holding the shift key down and opening the application will bring up your database window.

Another method, which is not exclusive of the first, is to go to

<Tools> <Options> and on the View tab remove the tick or check mark in the "Windows in Taskbar" check box. This forces Windows to just have one button in the taskbar no matter how many windows, forms, reports etc you have open in the one instance of Access. If you open another Access application, another button appears however.
