solicitations are a form of advertising and you might catch some flak about
it. But, if you post your problem, and specific things that are troubling
you, someone might be able to help for free.
And, there will, no doubt, be those who will solicit you for the work... but
you will need to be careful, do some research and see if they have given
good answers here. There are some who are diligent to solicit, but not
diligent in their understanding of the software, business logic, etc..
Or, you could choose some who seem to consistently provide good and helpful
answers and ask them if they take on remote contract work... some of the
most helpful here are not consultants or contractors, but some are. Do,
however, look at their posts, because some ask that you not contact them
directly. Such requests would normally be in the SIG (signature) area, as
would information about their business (though not everyone has business
info in their SIG; but a reasonably brief SIG entry is the only form of
advertising that the majority here will accept without complaining).

Fortunately I am not even close to do that!
But is it acceptable to request help with a database and offer to pay?
I have posted my question before, and you good folks have answered
me,showed me the way, and even directed me to sample databases.
It seems like an easy problem, but my mind can not handle it. I have
studied the sample databases, understand the concept, but can't
incorporate it in my database.
So, is it acceptable to post a problem, and offer payment for assistance?
Thanks
