Removing choices from combo boxes

Hello everyone,

I am looking for a way to remove choices from cascading combo boxes as each selection is made.

Here's how this is laid out.

The initial combo box is STAGE and it will have choices STAGE1, STAGE2, STAGE3 and that will cascade to the CODE combo box. The CODE selections will also have lb. amounts for each code item. For example purposes here's the layout for the STAGE choices in the CODE combo box and use your imagination for the lbs amount.

STAGE1
06A00027
06A00028
06A00030

STAGE2
10A0001
10A0010

STAGE3
5A00007
10A0001

OK now as each CODE choices are fulfilled by weight (this might take multiple entries for each code) I would like to have the the CODE item removed or hidden in the combo box but not deleted. Also as each STAGE is completed that will also removed form the selctions but not deleted.

As always,

Thank you

I think you want to take a look at this tutorial Cascading Combo Boxes\ List Boxes

Cascading isn't the issue here. I have that procedure down just fine unless there is something I'm missing here for what I need to do for removing the choices. I'll look the procedure over again and maybe see if there is a way to do it.

I guess I'm not quite sure as to what you are trying to accomplish.

Do you want to show only those codes where the lb field is null?

As each step is completed, I'm trying to make it where it's not a selection in the combo box, perferrably grayed out as not being selectable. Each code item will have a set lbs amount for each step. If the amount for one code item is 500lbs and 500lbs or even more has been entered in it will not be selectable in the next record.

I quess this could work the other way too for control purposes. Code could not be selectable until the previous steps are complete. This is only an option.
