Default Design View

In my office everyone has access to a database. All the computers/
users work well with it. One computer, no matter who is signed in,
defaults to design view when opening any database. We don't want them
to use design view and since other people are logged into that
database it hampers the users ability to work with it. Any help will
be appreciated, I can't seem to find the answer anywhere.

I have found it only happens with two of the databases, but no one
else has this problem

Let me see if I get what you mean.
By "design view" do you mean the database window opens up?
This window has the tabs for the tables, queries, forms, reports, ....
and so on.
>From this window you can create and change the db objects as well as
enter the data.
Do the other computers bring up a main startup form and this one does
not?

If so, and this may be out in left field, but is the "Shift" key
stuck on the keyboard?

If not, you might try looking under the tools menu at the startup
options and seeing if anything looks different from the other
machines. (should be the same)

It tells me it is trying to open design view, but can't because other
users are in the database. I don't think the shift key is stuck,
otherwise I would have all my letters as capitals. I looked in tools
and didn't see any differences. Am considering just re-installing
Access on that computer.

Thanks for the suggestions
