Running Automatic Macros

Sue
Hi
(Also posted in getting started group)

Is it possible to have a Macro that runs (importing tables) at a specific
time each day without user input. Also wondered if its possible to use
access to unzip zipped files before importing them.
Cheers

To run a macro at specific times: you can use the Windows Scheduler to
start an application at specific times. Then it's just a matter of the
correct command line:
<path to>msaccess.exe <path to>your.mdb /x yourmacro

The macro should do its job and then close down the application
(docmd.quit).

To unzip files, you have to call upon a third party component. For
example winzip.com has a dll for sale you can call to perform zipping
tasks. Once unzipped, Access can import the files
(docmd.transfertext).
