How can prevent MSCAL.Calendar.7 displaying in different languages?

Hey guys,

I'm using MSCAL.Calendar.7 to allow the user to select a date and time in an Access application which is used across a network. The application uses Access 2003 as the frontend with SQLServer 2000 as the backend. On most machines (including the one I am developing on) the months and days are correctly displayed in English. However, on some machines the are displaying in German. I thought it may be caused by some machines having their Regional/Language options set to German, but I've checked some of them (although not all) and they are all set to English with no mention of German, even as a second language. I've Googled the problem with no success. Has anyone here come across this or anything similar, or can anyone suggest how I might go forward in resolving this issue?

You can force MSCAL.Calendar.7 control to display months and days in English no matter what is your system launguage by setting MonthLength and DayLength properties to English or English(Medium).

I think that the language of the calendar control depends on the language of mscal.ocx file (check the language in file properties), which is installed with MSOffice.

I checked this out on a couple of the systems which are displaying the calendar in German and they are all set to US English. Even so, how would I go about changing this if i do come across one which is German?

I looked at these properties on my own system and the only options I can set them to are short, medium or long. I also had a look at one of the systems displaying German and the options on that machine are kurz, mittel and lang. There doesn't appear to be anywhere I can change these to English. I also noticed on this system that all of the properties for the calendar are in German, and if I go to Insert/ActiveX Control (in the menu bar) the name of the calendar control is in German. This would suggest to me that the control has originally been installed in German on some machines (this is possible as we have quite a few Germans working on site here), but it doesn't explain why the language for the mscal.ocx file is English while the control itself is German in the application. Any ideas?
