Changing subforms - column widths, order of columns

167 100+
Here is the scenario. I have a form-"formA", I created another form-"FormB" which will be placed on FormA . I go to FormA in desgn view and use the button for "create subform" to bring in "FormB" onto "FormA". Here is the problem.... once the subform is on the main form you can not change any of the characteristics on "FormB" and have them show on "FormA". For example, I change the order of columns or column widths in "FormB" and save it. Then I run "FormA", the subform "FormB" still has the old column widths & column orders. I have even deleted the subform "FormB" off of "FormA" and re-added the subform "FormB" and it does not bring in the changes but still has the old format. There has got to be something going on behind the scenes that I am not seeing that is causing "FormA" to retain the original values of subform "FormB" even afer it is changed and saved. The only way I have been able to handle this so far is to entirely delete the subform and rebuild, then add it back into the main form. I have many changes I need to make so this is not a good solution. Seems pretty straight forward, just wished it would work that way. HELP!!

Is your subform a datasheet? If so make the changes to the subform in form view rather than design view and see if that helps.
