Report Totals

I'm very new to using Access so please forgive me in advance for my lack of knowledge.

I have a report that subtotals on Location. Each location has totals for three different item types. At the bottom of the report I would like a report total for the three different item types. I'm unfamiliar with subreports but it seems that that might be my solution. Any suggestions?

I am not sure I understand what you are looking for, but within reports you have the ability to total and subtotal your information. Perhaps, a more descriptive question would be beneficial.

The report looks like this:

Item Type A Qty 10
Item Type B Qty 5
Item Type C Qty 2
Location 1 Total Qty 17

Item Type A Qty 8
Item Type B Qty 5
Item Type C Qty 1
Location 2 Total Qty 14

All Locations Total Qty 31

I would like to replace the All Locations Total Qty line with the following:

Item Type A Total Qty 18
Item Type B Total Qty 10
Item Type C Total Qty 3

Does that make more sense? Again, I'm sorry. I don't even know the correct way to post this stuff.

Sorry took so long to get back to you. If this was me, I would have the calculation of Iten a, B or C in the query then just use function sum.
