Using String as Field

P: 1
I am using Access and would like to join two tables.
Table1 has 3 fields:
ID, Type, Date

Table2 has the following fields:
Date, Type1, Type2, ..., where each entry is Data.

What would be the best way to make to make a query returning ID, Type, Date, Data (where "Data" is from the field in Table2 with the same title as the value of the "Type" field in Table1)?

Thanks

This is not the way relationships work. You are trying to join a field name to a field value. Have a look at this tutorial and see if it helps.
