Error: Do not have Permission to access database

Please help.

Created database in Access 2000 -- all worked fine until we tried to open it with Access 2007.

Now -- regardless of who I log on as I receive the message "You do not have the necessary permissions to use the *.mdb object. Have your system administrator establish the appropriate permissions for you."

I have even logged on as the Administrator and still receive the same message. Can't open in Access 2000 or 2007 at this point.

On our server -- each user has full control of this database -- there are not any "deny" checks under security on the file or on the folders leading up to it.

Please advise -- I am relatively new to all of the permission stuff.

The problem more than likely lies with your mdw file.

Have a look at this site. It has very comprehensive information on Access Security.

After reviewing all my permissions in SharePoint and other. My main problem that resulted in getting this error message was that the field (column) names were too long and needed to be shortened. Give it a try.
