Private Sub Combo2_Change()
Dim CourseName As String
Dim queryStr As String

'set query string
queryStr = "'SELECT * CoursesTable.CourseName FROM CoursesTable WHERE CoursesTable.CourseName = "

Combo2.SetFocus
CourseName = Combo2.Text

You don't give the subform object name so I am just calling it subform1 for this demonstration. I would use the After Update rather than the on change evert.

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. Private Sub Combo2_AfterUpdate()
  2. Dim CourseName As String
  3. Dim queryStr As String
  4.
  5.    'set query string
  6.    queryStr = "'SELECT * CoursesTable.CourseName FROM CoursesTable WHERE CoursesTable.CourseName = '" & Me.Combo2 & "'"
  7.
  8.    Me!Subform1.Form.RecordSource = queryStr
  9.    Me!Subform1.Requery
  10.
  11. End Sub
