Opening Subforms With Linked Criteria

Hello,

This question may sound too general and confusing but I am trying to keep it simple.
I have a form that managers log into to view a list of the employees reporting to them. They are linked by the manager number.
I have a command button to open up another form that has a drop down list of possible courses that they may have taken or been assigned to. Once you choose a course from the drop down, it lists all employees that have taken the course. My problem is trying to have this second form and subform filtered under the same criteria (ie only the employees that report to the manager that is logged in) as the first subform. The way it is structured I cannot simply link them through the wizard when I create the command button because the parent forms do not have criteria to be linked. It seems I have tried everything in my capacity.

So, is there any way of linking the actual subforms or something like that? Or some code I can write to the event when the form loads to filter it?

Hope this doesn't sound too confusing.

Thank you for any ideas/replies.

It does a little.

However, there are a couple of things that spring to mind.

Have a look at these tutorials and see if they can help you out.
