Action from Combo Box without Clicking it

P: n/a
I can't find this in a post - I am not sure how to describe and
search, so here goes:

I have a combo box for the user to choose and existing vendor (there
are about 1200 vendors). The user can start typing the name "David
Or" and it will take him to the records that match the data he's
entered.

Typing "David Or" will show "David Ortiz" in the combo box, and if
that is the user's vendor, he STILL has to click the arrow of the
combo box and actually SELECT (click on) the "David Ortiz" record to
have the data appear on the form below. The record is the first in
the list, but it still seems repetetive - extra clicks.

I figure there's an event that I don't know about so the user can
either select with click, or select by finding the item.
Hopefully this makes sense -
Thanks -

Sounds as though you have the combo's AutoExpand set to No.
Set the Combo box AutoExpand property to Yes.
Enter "David Or" and exit the combo box (either by Tab or Enter key ,
or by placing the cursor in the next control) and "David Ortiz" is
selected.

SO glad I asked and that you responded. I did have AutoExpand to
"Yes", but I DIDN'T have the user press tab or just go to another
field. I wasn't waiting - I was just having them go to the list and
"rechoose" the vendor.

MANY thanks!
