MS HTML Help

P: 5
I am able to invoke a custom MS HTML .chm Help file by pressing F1 from a form, but how can that file be invoked from a customized main menu Help drop down without pressing F1? That is, clicking on the Help menu, pointing the cursor at a drop down, and click (the same as how MS Access Help is invoked.)

new to this, so I appreciate patience and understanding in advance

Thanks,

Glynn

menus are generally based on macros. A macro can call code.

If you have a file in mind already, you can create a function that opens it using the followhyperlink command.

followhyperlink "C:\myfile.chm"

so make the function

create the macro using the RunCode option....naming your function

functionname() in the run code option box

then assigning the macro to your dropdown menu.
