if your tables are linked I suppose you are using ODBC. Your quieries or forms should be able to send data between the two tables. Could you explain a bit more?

I think i know the problem, are you trying to link the tables in your query and pass the information? If so I have my self ran into problems with injecting and updating data based on joined criteria from an access table and an sql table. I would use a dlookup statement to lookup information in the query and return the criteria you need to insert records into sql.

I might be off on this but let me know if my assumption is right that you are joining access tables with sql tables

yes, as i said i want to get the information in access and then run it in sql. so my access and sql are linked together.
i am really confused. it is not listening to me and do whatever it wants.
i also have an option group but it is not accepting the Value.
thanks alot for help
