this is probably basic, however I ahve a form with number of buttons
and upon pressing certain buttons as part of hte buttons press
function, i would like to update a table (communications) with basic
information.
eg, pressing teh EMAIL button , after sending a outlook message i want
funtion to update the [communications]
table with current date.time pdatetimefield], also then a text field
in [communications] table with "EMAILED"
please help, how do I do this from pressing a button and calling a
function ???
You write VBA code to accomplish what you want, or you search and find some
code that does it or something similar to use, and place that code either in
a standard Module in your database to be called from code in the Click event
of the button, or place it directly in the Click event of the button. You'll
find information about sending e-mail from Access at the FAQ site,
http://www.mvps.org/access -- it's full of good information.
