I'm guessing but It sounds like youv'e set the control source of your text box to the the formula based on the values of the two combo boxes (something like "= combo1 * combo2"). Putting a formula in the textboxes control source causes it to become unbound, meaning it is not directly associated with a field in the forms record source.
The simplest way to correct your problem would be to set the textboxes control source back to the table field you want to save it's data to and use the after update events of the comboboxes to change the value in the textbox.

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. private sub combo1_afterupdate()
  2. me.text3 = combo1*combo2
  3. end sub
  4.
  5. private sub combo2_afterupdate()
  6. combo1_afterupdate
  7. End sub
  8.
I don't know what formula your using or the names of your controls so this is just a vague example.
