Sequence of numbers in access reports

Hi,

I am currently trying to create a database in access for work. I need to be able to print a report that acts as a manifest. Therefore within this manifest I need the report to generate a sequenced number at the top (a manifest number) I also need this number to go up by one increment when each manifest report is generated. I hope this all makes sense. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much.

Create a table to store each manifest as a transaction. This number could be generated whenever you trigger the creation of the report.
