MS Access ULS for multi user env in a wkgrp.

Client has three workstations on a workgroup P2P w/folders shared to provide Access DB connectivity. One workstation needs to be RO and the others update the data throughout the day. I set up users with the permission aforementioned, however concurrent connectivity is not enabled. I have mapped the shortcuts on each workstation to provide secure connections. When the "Front Desk", which is RO is connected the other workstations are not able to edit or input data. This is a WinXP Pro environment with all workstation in the default config.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Open Access on each of the workstations and make sure that in menu Tools - Options, under the Advanced tab that 'Default Open Mode' is set to shared.

You should probably also set 'Default Record Locking' to Edited Record and tick 'Open Databases using Record Level locking' while you are there.
