catch errors when scanning barcodes to database

P: 1
Hello everyone. I am not really a databse pro like most of you here, but i did make a small access database for our warehouse to scan serial numbers into the system. I have a few questions if anyone could help me it would be great.

1st
Most of our products come on a palet and they are able to scan each one. Sometime we get a box or palet that has a two and from barcode. Is there anyway i can create some type of VB script which will allow them to double click on the field and then some box will popup that says "scan To Bar code"
then antoerh window for the "from bar code" Then it will count and put the amount in? not sure if i am explaining this correct, but!

2nd
Sometime we have a problem that while they are scanning they double scan a bar code and just a error code comes up and says no duplicate records. Is there anyway i can make it more professional like a critial warning popup and say. Opps you have scanned a barcode twice. Please delete the duplicate and start scanning again" who know something like this

I'm sorry there's not enough information here to help. We would need to see the code you are currently using.
