Displaying the Right/Left x number of characters

Hi

In a query in Access 97, I am trying to just display a certain number of characters from the right of the field.
I had an old query with this in, but deleted it long ago. Can someone point me in the right direction? What do I need to add in the query to show this?

Thanks

You need to use the Right function:

AnyString = "The Scripts"
Right(AnyString, 7)

Returns "Scripts".

Thanks for that. Much appreciated!

I'm sure there was a way of doing it in the design mode of the query though, by entering something into the criteria line in design view, in the column you want to display x characters left/right for. Any ideas?

Thanks

=Right([Field],x) in the ControlSource of the control you're working with.
