Update Query

P: 1
Hi! Is it possible to create an update query that will not delete the information already in the field, but add new information that will exist in addition to the old information instead?

Any/all help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Jennifer

Are you talking about adding more info to a field while keeping it's original value? A concatenation?

Sounds like you want to create an audit trail record that has a before and after image when changes are made. If that is the case, see these links for guidance and source code:

includes a free download mdb with source code

Hope this helps.

I'm reading your question as Rabbit did. I would suggest something like :
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. UPDATE [MyTable]
  2. SET [Field]=[Field] + NewData
  3. WHERE ...
