Import Date from XML

P: 9

I am sorry for the German version. Here is my question in English:
I am importing from an XMl file into an existing Access database. There is one line in the XML file
The value should be imported into a column which is datatype date. After the import the value in this column ist 00:00:00.
If I change the datatype to text the date is correct. But I need the datatype date for sorting.
I appreciate any help.

The format is wrong for an Access date, the . should be /
What you can do is import it as text and then have a query that replaces the . with /, converts it to a date, and then appends it to a different table.

Thank you. I'll try it.
Good luck.

BTW, the function to convert a string into a date is CDate(). But the string has to be in a date format first.
