I'm sure a simple query question...??

Fist post here - thanks in advance for any help you can give... I have been building an Access database - and have a problem with a query... I have a personnel table that has info about many personnel in my organization - I need to be able to run a query to find who will reach there ETS Date in the next 180 days from whenever I run the query...

I have a field named "ETS Date" - this field is populated with dates formated mm/dd/yyyy. I don't really know what I need to put in the criteria section to get the data I want... I'ved tried "date()+180", it doesn't seem to work - "now()+180", it doesn't seem to work either - I'm really a novice, so any help would be great.... thanks.

Try the DateAdd function as shown:

DateAdd ('d', 180, Date())

Thanks... I'm not sure this will work, but I'll try... let me try to be more clear...

I have a table that has 100 personnel... each with an "ETS Date"... I want to have a query that will search and return all personnel with an "ETS Date" within the next 180 days... is this what the DateAdd function is designed to do??

thanks.

Sorry, my answer was incomplete. The DateAdd will give you the future ETS date, but what you want in your query is everything between today and that future date. So use:

= Between Date() and DateAdd(d, 180, Date())
