error in ms-access query

hi,

i am using an MS- access backend and i hv written the following query

SELECT ProdID, IngrID, IngrName, IngrMin, IngrMax, FROM IngredientMaster INNER JOIN IngrProdDetails ON IngredientMaster.IngrID = IngrProdDetails.IngrID WHERE IngredientMaster.ProdID = '"+d+"

where d is the string which contains the prodid i select from a table.

i get the foll error

The SELECT statement includes a reserved word or an argument name that is misspelled or missing, or the punctuation is incorrect.

can anyone pls tell me what this cud mean and how i can correct my query....kindly help!!!

What are the + signs before and after the String d supposed to represent?
