Newbie asking for help with Access 2003

Hello All! I am new to programming in the MS Access environment and decided to join this community due to various problems I encountered in Access 2000 and 2003. I began a small project in Access 2000 several weeks ago that involved programatically building a user menu (selections are file, company plants, suppliers, database tables for example). In the Access 2000 environment, the menu was loaded when I loaded the main user form and everything worked beautifully, however, I had problems getting an options group control to work as well as an inability to use the AddItem property for listboxes. I upgraded to Access 2003 and the option gropu control has been working fine but Access 2003 crashes now with the error message" Microsoft Access has encountered a problem and needs to close. Sorry about the inconvenience." It appears to be occurring when the main user form loads and the menu I programmed tries to launch. I then installed service pack 2 with no problems there but still did not stop this problem. I have another user form with controls on it that works great and does not crash Access 2003 from within the project. Only the above mentioned menu seems to cause the problem. What am I missing here to prevent this problem? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you all in advance. Accessnovice

  1. What is the exact Error Message you are getting?
  2. Post all relevant code involved in loading the Main Form, including any code in the Load, Open, Activate, etc. events.
  3. How is the main Form loaded? StartUp Options, AutoExec Macro, etc.
  4. Give as much detail as possible - we could not even venture a guess as to what the problem may be with such limited information.
