Import ODBC to Access

1
Hi...we need to load large dbf files into Access for a production inkjet printer daily. We import them using the Visual Foxpro ODBC driver as we need to maintain the windows code page etc. The problem we have is that Access will often (not always) resort some of the data, and we have to keep reloading until it doesn't. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to when it doesn't and when it does. (We have unselected the "auto index in import" in the option tab)
We can't index once in, as the print software doesn't seem to pick it up.

Any ideas why and how to get around?

Unfortunately, the jet engine will resort data "without rhyme or reason". You need to impose the sort order you want to keep when loading the recordset of the table. You don't say what you are using to run through the table data. Are you using ADO?

Post the code of the routine and we'll try to help
