Hello. I have to apologize in advance but I am a newbie with Access.
I have a select query of which I would like the other select queries
that I create to be dependant on the first query....can any one tell
me how I would go about accomplishing this?
More or less I want the created queries to be dependant upon query
1. The first query is dependant on tblEvents at which time I need
to enter a criteria [Type an EventNumber], that will look up the
EventName, EventDate, EventTime, etc...what I am trying to do is use
the same EventNumber to look up specific job codes in the table called
tblHoursWorked....I need to use the tblVolunteers to lookup the
volunteer's first and last name. See below for more info on my
tables. I have 26 job codes and I need to produce a single report for
each individual job code....which means I have to produce 26
reports....some events don't require all 26 job codes, it all depends
on the event. So I don't want them to have to enter an event number
for each report that is needed.
The table that stores job codes(tblJobCodes) contains the following
fields RecordNumber, JobCode, JobCodeDescription. In my other queries
I use this table to give me the JobCodeDescription.
The table that stores the events (tblEvents) contains these fields:
RecordNumber, EventNumber, EventName, EventDate, EventTime, HouseSize,
HouseLocation, the following are all Yes/No fields within this table:
Concessions, CrownClub, Sort, and Rotation.
The table that stores volunteers(tblVolunteers) has RecordNumber,
VolunteerNumber, FirstName, LastName, Address1, Address2, City, State,
Zip, HomeTel, BusTel, CellTel, EmailAddr, EmergencyContactNm,
EmergencyContactTel and StatusCode. The tblVolunteer in the secondary
queries
finds only the first name and last name of the volunteer using the
VolunteerNumber.
Another table that stores the dates that the volunteers
work(tblWorkHours) contains the following fields: RecordNumber,
VolunteerNumber, JobCode, EventNumber, TimeIn, TimeOut and
DateWorked.
