Problem running a DELETE Query in Access

-Access 2002
-Windows XP Pro

Trying to run a DELETE Query to delete each entry in the table 'Data' where the field 'AssocID' matches the field 'AssocID' in the table 'Queries' and the date is between the date range in the 'Queries' table.

Here is what I have. The query works as a select query, but I cannot get it to run as a delete query.

DELETE Data.*
FROM Data, Queries
WHERE Data.AssocID = Queries.AssocID AND (Data.Date BETWEEN Queries.Start AND Queries.End);

I get the error "Could not delete from specified tables."

Thanks in advance.

Try this ...
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. DELETE Data.*
  2. FROM Data INNER JOIN Queries
  3. ON Data.AssocID = Queries.AssocID
  4. WHERE Data.[Date] BETWEEN Queries.Start AND Queries.End;
  5.
