Compaing 2 tables for information for changes in records in access

P: 2
hi

I am new to this forums but it looks like some knoweable people and some good discussions!!!

I have 2 excel files that contain certain HR information that i import into 2 tables in access for comparision.Table one contains info from last week and table 2 contains the same information as table one but some of fields could conatin a pay change or update and also may contain some new records. I want to compare these 2 tables and show the changes, new records or updates in a querry report.

Any ideas would be greatlt appreiated.

These tables contain about 2000 records and you would take one records from table 1 and see if the exact record exit in table 2...if not then put in show it as output.

thanks

Is there a common Primary Key Field(s) in each Table - one that applies equally to both?

These files from a main frame system and are in a flat text file. I import in access and is only one field but with about 200 characters in them. I need to take a reord from one tbale search the other and see if it an exaact match if not show it in the querry results and then proceed though the table for the next record

Are the Records in parallel? Are Records #1 to Last Record the same in both Tables except for differences in Field values? e.g. Does the 25th Record in Table1 describe the same entity as the 25th Record in Table2? Please provide the Table and single Field Name also.
