new record is replaced by the first record!!

hi all,

i created a table called Client and i could add records to the table using navigation buttons through a Client form.

but when i close the Client form and open again to add a new record, the record in the CLient table is deleted and relaced by the new record.

could anyone tell me where i went wrong?

Hi Kathy, not being cheeky here but are you definitely in add mode when u are inserting a new record?
I cant see how it can delete and replace

The navigation buttons have a button which is enabled, its like the old vcr play button with an asterix next to it - kinda like this

but this button is disabled when in add mode

thanks for the reply... i have created a Client form based on the fields in the Table 'Client'... i just tried to add records using the form.
as u said, i tried to add 3 records using >* button and it works fine. when i opened the table, i cud see 3 records.

but again,i opened the form to add the 4th record and closed it after entering all the fields.
this time when i open the table, the 1st record is deleted and i cud see only 3 records instead of 4.

could you please assist me in this regard!!!
