DLookup Question

I have two tables one with a bill of materials and one with the
inventory quantities. The bill of materials table contains part
numbers that would be found in the inventory table, and I am trying to
capture the company's part number (in this case the OOL Number)

PKGDBOM -First Table-
-[Product Number]
-[Container]
-[Container Qty]

INVG -Second Table-
- [Product Number]
- [Product Type]
- [QOH]
- [OOL Number]

I am writing a query to capture the OOL number in the Container field,
and using dlookup in the expression to find the data. I receive a
syntax error message every time I try to run it:

Container: DLookUp("[INVG]![OOL Number]","[INVG]","[PKGDBOM]!
[Container] = " & [INVG]![Product Number])

Any ideas why this would not work?

Thanks in advance!

I am not working in a form, I am simply trying to extract the data
from a query. Should I change to a form?

If you are in a query then just join the two tables in the query using the
product number and it should work fine.
