Access Subform Wizard Add-on

43
HI All,

I am out in France at the moment with nothing but a laptop and a dial up connection (Don't laugh). I have Access 2003 installed on the laptop but only the 'typical install' as here I am thinking I will save some space on the old hard drive.

Anyway, I am lacking the subform wizard and do not have the installation disk with me and have searched online but can not find the wizard files anywhere. I need the wizard urgently or some other method of creating and inserting a subform.

If anyone could either point me in the right direction or send the files to {e-mail removed} I would be eternally grateful :-)

Thank you in advance for any help.

Best wishes

Edd

If you open the Toolbox toolbar, there is an option there to add a subform.

I don't have the wizard for subforms either and I need it for an online class. Adding a subform by using the toolbar does not work, it says I need to install the wizard. Do you know where I can find this install?

It should come as an option when you install Office or Access.
Do a re-install (not a fresh one - modify the existing one) and check out the options of what is installed. I suggest you simply add all wizards.

So, this happened to me today using MS-Access 2003 on a remote desktop installation where the subform wizard is not available and can't be installed by me. After bumbling around in the subform properties window I clicked into 'Link Child Fields' [...] and found the Subform Fields Linker and solved a problem similar to what was described by the OP.

I've also learned I can link by more than three fields if I just extend the linkage syntax...

ReceiptDate;Vendor;Specify_Other_Vendor; anotherone; andanother

I'm posting up with this solution here because I could not find a simple and easy tip for this problem on a quick search of the interwebz, and wanted to add some info to this easy-to-find thread on the subject.

Thanks to the OP and the others who posted-up with solutions so long ago.
