same value as previous record

Hi,

I am using a continuous form deriving values from a pre-populated table consisting of ids, property type and site area

Ids and property type are in the main body of the form, whereas site area is in the header of the form

For eg.
id property type site_area
1 residential
1 Office
1 Retail

Now, when i use the continuous form and type in the value of site area. I want that value to be dupliacted for all the rows. Finally, the table should look like

id property type site_area
1 residential 235
1 Office 235
1 Retail 235

Any help would be appreciated!!!

Thanks

Assuming they all have the same id you can run an update query.

You haven't described how your data fits together.
Are all the rows in the detail section simply the whole of the file or are they filtered in any way?
Would setting the Site_Area be expected to update the whole table? Or is there something else you haven't told us?
