Data type problem

Hi there...

I have an Oracle 9.2 table with several columns having an "NCLOB" data type. I cannot change the data type on the database.

When attempting to query this linked table without calling the NCLOB columns, all works okay. However, if I call the NCLOB columns within this same query, through Access (or Crystal, for that matter), I receive an error.

Is there a way to change the data type on the application side, without touching the original table in the database? Is there another way around this?

Thanks in advance for your help.

When you link the table into Access and open it in design view what is the data type showing for these fields?
